Look up Autonomous System Number information including organization, country, and contact details.
What is an ASN (Autonomous System Number)?
An Autonomous System Number (ASN) is a unique identifier assigned to an autonomous system (AS) - a collection of IP networks and routers under the control of one entity that presents a common routing policy to the internet. ASNs are essential for BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) routing on the internet.
Types of ASNs:
- Public ASNs: Globally unique, used for internet routing (1-64495, 131072-4199999999)
- Private ASNs: Used within organizations (64512-65534, 4200000000-4294967294)
